Indigenomics on BAY STREET is an annual national Indigenous economic conference that focuses on key trends in the rise of the Indigenous economy. With the theme ‘Beyond the 100 billion Dollar Indigenous Economy,’ the Institute is launching the first Indigenous AI generative study identifying 100 billion dollars of Indigenous economic activity as a demonstration of the rise of the Indigenous economy.

The Institute is also pleased to announce its keynote speaker Dawson Her Many Horses, one of North America’s most esteemed bankers, who will be speaking to the Canadian capital and finance community for the first time.

Her Many Horses is a leading figure in the banking industry in the tribal gaming sector and notable expert on the critical role of Indigenous economic data. He is a Managing Director at Wells Fargo Native American Banking, the leading provider of capital and financial services to the Native American and Alaska Native markets. Wells Fargo has banking relationships with one out of three federally recognized tribes in the U.S. with approximately $3.4 billion in credit commitments and $4.1 billion in deposits.

The conference will take place October 17-18 at the Sheraton in Toronto, Ontario, and will include other key figures in the capital sector, including Fred De Blasio, Longhouse Capital Partners, Kody Penner, CEO of Nations Royalty, the first Indigenous listed royalty company, and Chelsee Pettit, Aaniin Founder. Attendees will have first-hand access to what is driving growth and acceleration in the Indigenous economy as well as what companies can do to build economic reconciliation outcomes. They will also have the opportunity to network with key players in the infrastructure, finance and legal industries.

About Indigenomics BAY STREET

Indigenomics BAY STREET is an annual national Indigenous economic conference. It is an invitation for change makers, innovators and leadership across corporate Canada, the financial sector, governments and Indigenous businesses to bring focus, meaning and visibility to the strength of the Indigenous economy and build bridges for impactful outcomes in economic reconciliation. The Indigenomics Power Play gala hosted at the event also features the release of the much-anticipated annual Indigenomics 10 to Watch list – a celebration of Indigenous partnerships, reconciliation and resilience.

This year’s Indigenomics on BAY STREET is focused on growth beyond the $100 billion Indigenous economy.

Engaging the financial sector in Indigenous economic power, this year’s conference will explore the capital and resource requirements for building Indigenous economic success, and the structure and leadership needed for value creation in the next Indigenous economy.
