Categories for the Progress App Innovation Awards program include: Best
App Modernization, Best Consumer App, Best Enterprise App, Best Web
Experience, and The Social/ Environmental Impact Award. Nominees were
selected from a competitive pool based on the innovation,
business/social impact, scope, and sophistication of their applications.
The winners of the 2019 Progress App Innovation Awards are:
-
Best App Modernization: Capita
One
Capita One delivers solutions that transform the delivery
of government services by bringing the UK’s public sector and
community services data together to deliver better social services.
They used Progress® OpenEdge® platform to update and modernize their
One Assets application, a unique cloud asset management solution for
social housing organizations. The updated app now has a single
responsive web-based interface with strong mobile support, providing
real-time views to manage, monitor, and prepare housing assets.
-
Best Consumer App: Muvr
Muvr
is a cutting-edge app for orthopedic surgery patients built on
Progress® Kinvey® app. Through wearable sensors the app collects
motion data from joints, which is then analyzed for a current state
analysis. Doctors access the data to identify at-risk patients,
understand progress, and recommend interventions. This data is also
used within the app along with patient medical data to provide
exercises, education, reminders and more. This is a full recovery, all
delivered in an app.
-
Best Enterprise App: Holder
Construction, the ‘HELIX Project’
Holder Construction, a
multi-billion-dollar construction management and contracting services
company, builds high-profile projects such as an NFL stadium and tech
behemoth campuses. They moved their entire construction process from
offline onto a Progress® Kinvey® app. The app provides access to all
of the plans, documentation, drawings and more required to do their
jobs. With high performance offline access, they can use the app even
in environments of little to no connectivity. They have increased
quality, efficiency and safety with this amazing new app.
-
Best Web Experience: Crystal
Cruises
Crystal Cruises, the world’s most awarded luxury
cruise line, used Progress® Sitefinity® web content management
solution to relaunch and transform its website, www.crystalcruises.com.
The new site, with in-depth information, dynamic content and gorgeous
images, gives the luxury experience to customers from the very first
visit researching a trip. With their new site, they’ve seen
significant increases in the number of visits, leads, conversions,
return trips planned, and more. And they’ve realized these benefits
while dramatically improving the speed with which marketing can
execute their campaigns, and reducing the workload for IT.
-
The Social/ Environmental Impact Award: World
Health Organization
The World Health Organization migrated
40+ websites on various older platforms to a new global site based on
Sitefinity, engaging new audiences, broadening their user base, and
increasing their position in search rankings. The website today
processes up to 10 million requests per hour, helping them to deliver
on their incredible global mission to promote global health, keep the
world safe and serve the vulnerable.
