Indiana Digital Learning School (INDLS) invites parents to imagine what their children could do with the right education, as students and teachers get ready to log on and start the 2019-2020 school year on August 6.

Authorized by Union School Corporation, and delivered entirely online, INDLS offers a personalized approach to learning, delivering rich, engaging curriculum designed to assist students who seek alternative pathways to education. INDLS is uniquely connected to the Union School Corporation and can offer the student the advantage of an Indiana Public School Diploma.

While working towards their high school diplomas, INDLS students have the benefit of participating in the Destinations Career Academy, allowing them to discover exciting options for their future in a variety of career fields, including: Business, Health and Human Services, IT, Early Childhood Education, Criminal Justice, and Agriculture.

Students can also earn college credits through partnerships with local colleges and universities including Ivy Tech and Ball State. This allows students to graduate from high school with a head start on college or career. INDLS also offers paths to industry certification and workforce readiness upon graduation.

“It’s high school and students should be allowed to see if a certain pathway is right for them, and change their direction if it isn’t,” says INDLS Head of School Elizabeth Sliger. “At INDLS, we empower our students to shape their own future by giving them early exposure to a variety of career options.”

Virtual classes are taught by Indiana-licensed teachers who provide instruction during live online class sessions daily, and are available to students via phone, email, and one-to-one meetings. INDLS prides itself in holding a routine and reliable school day for all students. Students have the opportunity to participate in collaborative learning with Indiana peers in a secure online environment.

Students choose online school for a variety of reasons including advanced learning, a bullying-free environment, and the ability to support extracurricular pursuits or medical needs. INDLS’s online platform gives students the opportunity to pursue their academic goals in a supportive environment and at an appropriate pace for their learning style.

Families are encouraged to attend an online or in-person information session hosted by the school. More information on INDLS, how to enroll, and a schedule of upcoming events can be found at indls.k12.com.
