Tony Scardino has joined Grant Thornton LLP’s Public Sector practice as managing principal for CXO Transformation Services. Scardino most recently served nine years as the chief financial officer and acting deputy director (chief operating officer) at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office within the Department of Commerce.

Scardino has served in leadership positions at multiple federal agencies and is a senior executive with experience leading complex organizations across multiple management areas, including operations, finance, budget, procurement, information technology and administrative activities.
At Grant Thornton, Scardino will lead a CXO Transformation Services group that will leverage the experience of the firm’s team of former government executives to help agencies work across the C-suite to improve mission outcomes, provide service and steward taxpayer dollars.
