Demand Management, Inc., a leading global resource for cloud-based digital supply chain management solutions, has been honored by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain, as a recipient of the Top Supply Chain Projects Award for 2022.

The Top Supply Chain Projects (formerly known as SDCE 100) spotlights successful and innovative transformation projects that deliver bottom-line value to small, medium and large enterprises across a range of supply chain functions.

Demand Solutions won the award for its work with a top sanitary paper products manufacturer based in Eastern Europe to help them gain deeper visibility into sales trends and to reduce its continual stockouts. By gaining a better understanding of raw material pricing, demand fluctuations, and production capacity through Demand Solutions’ digital supply chain platform, the manufacturer was able to reduce stockouts by more than half and streamline administration work by up to 80%. Finding itself quickly under pressure amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing toilet tissue shortage, the team was able to use the platform to meet demand effectively.

“They say sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good, and in the case of our client they happened to be both. We wrapped up the implementation of our Demand Solutions software in January 2020 right before the pandemic, which ended up being critical to their navigation of the crisis,” said Bill Harrison, president of Demand Management. “Our team is proud to have played a role in streamlining their ability to get necessary paper goods consistently on shelves. It’s projects like these that remind you how critical supply chain excellence can be.”

“The past 18 months have been a tumultuous time for U.S. supply chains,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “But the core reason today’s supply chains haven’t completely fallen apart is because solutions providers have been working diligently to partner with customers to streamline processes, implement emerging technology and deliver results that improve bottom lines and the environment. For many of these collaborations, it’s about achieving full visibility, complete forecasting, end-to-end leverage and the ultimate in sustainability.”
