Blue Medora has appointed former PernixData director Ian Wells as its new EMEA sales director to support its growth in the region.
Wells brings 25 years’ experience to the role and previously held positions including senior director in EMEA at PernixData, regional sales director for UK and Ireland at EMC and vice president of northwest EMEA and regional director at Veeam.
“2016 was a strong year for us in EMEA and with Ian’s expertise we expect to continue this growth into 2017,” said Blue Medora CEO, Nathan Owen. “Ian’s passion for software innovation will help Blue Medora expand our reach and extend adoption of IT operations management in multi-cloud, multi-database and DevOps environments.”
Blue Medora, a specialist in IT operational analytics (ITOA) for enterprise cloud, database and infrastructure management, grew its customer base by 50 percent in EMEA in 2016. The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based vendor this year launched its own IT operational analytics platform, SelectStar, release its new True Visibility Suite for New Relic, and received $8.6 million in series B funding.
The firm has 56 channel partners in EMEA, plus VMware’s extensive channel, with which it is aligned.
“This is a great time to join an exciting company and I look forward to using my experience to continue its impressive work in the region,” said Wells (pictured). “The ITOA market is thriving and helping organisations to enhance visibility across their IT operations is something I am passionate about.”
In addition to Wells’ appointment, Blue Medora also announced the addition of three global vice presidents: Charles Bass as VP of channels, Dale Adkins, VP of business development and Christian Fernando, VP of product.
