Cybersecurity VAD StarLink aims to double EMEA turnover in three years through organic growth, and has opened a European hub in London to help it do it.
Dubai-headquartered StarLink offers insight and prevention, detection and remediation solutions. Founded in 2005, StarLink already has an on-the-ground presence in 11 countries. StarLink says it has grown organically at an average rate of 60 percent year-on-year, and now has a $145 million turnover.
StarLink’s new UK office will be managed by Avinash Advani, StarLink’s SVP strategic alliances and international markets, whose responsibility it is to spearhead the company’s European expansion.
Advani (pictured) said: “We have built a great story in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa regions over the last decade, and increasing our coverage across Europe is an essential part of our international expansion initiative.
“Our plan is to drive our European expansion by replicating our True VAD business model into the UK, and then progressively covering the rest of Europe over the coming months.”
He said: “Now being geographically closer to vendors’ EMEA leadership teams has accelerated the process of our contracts being extended, with several vendors giving us immediate distribution coverage across Europe due to the value they have seen in other regions.”
The company’s Mayfair office in Hanover Square will house a core team and the firm is now looking to recruit a channel manager, a regional sales manager, a pre-sales consultant and a sales operations representative.
