FireMon has hired Kurt Mills as vice president of worldwide channels. Mills previously led worldwide channel sales and operations at rival Blue Coat Systems.
During his time at Blue Coat, Mills integrated integrated two cloud acquisitions and developed the channel distribution strategy. Previously to Blue Coat, he held channel leadership positions at Aerohive Networks and McAfee.
“We look forward to utilising his experience in the industry to expand on our global approach to our channel programmes, and capitalise on the market need for reducing the complexity associated with security of networked environments.”
FireMon says it saw a 100 percent increase in channel bookings from H1 2015 to H1 2016. Mills says there will now be increased emphasis on “strategic alignment” with FireMon partners, service providers and MSPs.
Mills said: “Over the last year, the executive team has established a sales strategy and vision that has led to growth of new customers, strong up-sell and renewals and an expansion of the product solutions.
“The environment they’ve created provides many opportunities that will be mutually beneficial for both FireMon and the partner community.”
