iboss Cybersecurity is the latest firm to join the Jisc security framework covering the UK education and research community and its Janet network.
The vendor will provide cloud-based web filtering and monitoring for Jisc’s member organisations and their millions of users.
Among other features, iboss provides Cyber Threat Scores that rate individual users and devices to stop “catastrophic infection” before any data losses occurs.
“Universities are a prime target for hackers because of the large amount of sensitive data that is stored on their networks,” said Paul Martini, CEO of iboss Cybersecurity. “Jisc represents the very best in technology solutions so we’re excited to partner with them and help bring these world-class services to their member organisations throughout the UK.”
Nelson Ody, applied network services manager at Jisc, said: “Our members can now easily find a web filtering and monitoring solution that’s tailored to their organisation’s strategy through our multi-supplier framework.”
US-headquartered iboss’ clients include Xerox, Sears and the US Department of the Interior.
