There was a big jump in technology investment deals across Europe and Israel in the second quarter, with the UK among the top three countries in terms of both numbers of deals and total deal values.
In Q2 2016, Tech.eu monitored 782 deals, which totalled a combined €4.1 billion in value for the quarter.
In terms of the number of deals, this figure was up 81 percent when compared to the second quarter of last year. With total deal values, the figure was up 7 percent year-on-year.
In numbers of deals, France was the leader, again followed by the UK and Germany.
The top three areas with the most technology investment were, by number of deals, in order: fintech (number one), enterprise SaaS and marketplace. By deal values: e-commerce, transport/logistics, marketplace.
