IT services firm AVR International has won a three-year contract to provide a mobile device management (MDM) service to Volkswagen UK.
Combining technology available from Apple and MobileIron, AVR is providing Volkswagen with a secure data environment and professional services including systems design, installation and configuration, project management, training and support.
“We have created a flexible solution that is constantly evolving to address the changing requirements of Volkswagen,” said Helen Hall, managing director at AVR International.
“AVR has exceeded our expectations and delivered a completely bespoke solution, we look forward to seeing how this develops further as we continue to work with AVR.”
AVR initially began working with Volkswagen in 2011, when the company was commissioned to manage the deployment of iPads to Volkswagen’s UK showroom sales team and create a flexible, engaging customer experience, giving customers access to design, sales and marketing content from anywhere across the showroom floor.
AVR now manages over 4,000 iPads across the Volkswagen Group Retailer Network within 200-plus UK retail locations for sales, after sales and commercial vehicles.
