Tempest Security Intelligence expands London office

Tempest Security Intelligence has announced an expanded presence in the UK. The Brazil-headquartered cyber-security firm will be increasing the number of its employees to 160 across its Docklands, London and Brazilian offices, in order to better meet the demands from the financial, media, telecoms and e-commerce sectors it serves.

Since setting up its UK operation in 2012, Tempest Security Intelligence says it has seen a “dramatic rise in demand” from European customers for its threat intelligence services. Current customers include the Economist Group, Tesco and Guardian News & Media.

In Britain, people are already very advanced in the ordinary threat protection technologies and network detection systems, but now there is a new way of approaching security which utilises mapping the threats themselves, instead of trying to defend against every single threat,” said Marco Carnut, CTO of Tempest Security Intelligence.

Thanks to the hyper-connectivity of the internet, we are able to search for and find what may at first seem like a needle in a haystack to keep our customers informed about the potential threats to their brands, businesses and key people.”

Using its threat intelligence capabilities, Tempest is able to inform customers about the threats they are facing, advise them on technologies that are more resilient to these threats, and suggest a “less riskier path than the one they are currently on”.
