Logicalis UK rings changes with new sales director
Goes to BT after sales director position became available when new MD stepped up
Logicalis UK has appointed Steve Orton as UK sales director. Orton is also joined by Steve Fricker, who has taken up the role of new business sales director, after recently moving to Logicalis from Dimension Data.
Bob Swallow, the recently appointed managing director of Logicalis UK, and previous sales director, said: “I’m confident that Steve Orton will thrive in this role and we’re obviously thrilled to have within our business the expertise and skill-set he’s developed over the last three decades.
“Steve comes on board at an exciting time, and I believe he will be a pivotal addition to the team as Logicalis looks forward to a new chapter in its evolution.”
Orton brings 30 years of senior sales experience to Logicalis. Previously he worked at BT for over two decades, most recently as regional sales director for Global Services. He will report directly to Swallow, and Steve Fricker will report to Orton.

Logicalis UK’s parent Datatec this week warned of major sales and profit declines for its full year. The results will be published on 11 May.
