Barracuda offers hosted data backup to UK MSPs

Barracuda is expanding its reach into the UK channel with the launch of its Intronis MSP Solutions in the UK, marking the first launch outside of North America since Barracuda acquired Intronis in October 2015.

Intronis MSP Solutions by Barracuda offer easy-to-manage, secure data protection and backup solutions for managed service providers. Barracuda Backup – Intronis MSP Edition is included in the offering.

The UK launch builds upon the success of the Intronis ECHOplatform in North America, where more than 2,000 MSP partners use the platform to service thousands of small- and medium-sized businesses.

The Intronis ECHOplatform is provided at a fixed monthly fee for the entire product suite, without limiting MSPs’ customers’ local storage or number of devices protected. The Intronis ECHOplatform offered here is operational from a UK data centre.

SMBs are up against budget constraints, data overload and a lack of IT resources. As a result, they are looking to service providers for data protection solutions that are cost effective, yet feature-rich and easy to use,” said Andy Cocking, director at Computeam, a service provider for the education sector.

There are a number of disaster recovery and backup options on the market, but what we really like about the Intronis ECHOplatform is that we can manage multiple solutions through a single portal and dashboard. This has really helped us streamline management and provide customised service bundles to our clients.”

Rick Faulk, vice president and general manager, MSP Solutions at Barracuda, said: “The UK is familiar territory for Barracuda and the award-winning Intronis ECHOplatform is now operational in our UK data centre.

Barracuda aims to help emerging and established MSPs in the UK simplify service delivery with easy-to-manage, secure data protection solutions that are relevant, reliable and help bring them more recurring revenue.”

I look forward to expanding Barracuda’s channel in the UK to build this business and engaging with MSPs to help them grow and add greater value to their managed services portfolio,” said Jason Howells, EMEA sales director for Intronis MSP Solutions at Barracuda.
