Sigma wins first Dell distribution deal for systems and info management

Sigma Software Distribution has been named as Dell’s first approved distributor for its Systems and Information Management portfolio in the UK. Sigma is also announcing a suite of new programmes and promotions to support channel partners who want to capitalise on this market.

Over the course of the next financial year, said the Devon-based distie, Sigma will arm resellers with user success stories for verticals ranging from legal and public sector to financial services and FMCG. “This will help resellers successfully position Dell products to their customers and understand the full range of possibilities from the Systems and Information Management portfolio,” said Sigma.

Jane Silk, general manager of Sigma Software Distribution, said: “Dell is a major player in the Systems and Information Management market and this is an area of our business that we’ve been passionately developing for years.

To be awarded this opportunity is a massive endorsement of Sigma and recognition of our commitment to Dell. Our priority is to now provide as much support and enablement to our channel partners to ensure the messaging is clear and the sales process is aligned.”

She said: “There’s a tremendous amount of business out there and Sigma will be applying its own unique brand of channel engagement to maximise the exposure of Dell’s SIM product range.”

Chris Miller, executive director, Systems and Information Management, Channel, Dell Software EMEA, said: “Feedback from our partner community is that they benefit from working with specialist distributors. We’ve been working with Sigma for more than seven years and during this period, have been impressed with their technical expertise.”

Sigma has an authorised distribution portfolio that includes solutions from Intel Software, Dell Software, SAP, Flexera and Mindjet.
