Westcon expands AV distribution deal with SMART Technologies

SMART Technologies says Westcon Group will now distribute its entire range of collaboration products in the UK.

Westcon will supply SMART education and enterprise products and solutions throughout the UK. That includes the latest SMART products, including the SMART Board 6075 and the 84 inch SMART Board 4048 interactive flat panel solutions.

Westcon competes with Steljes, for instance, in the audio visual market when it comes to distribution. Steljes distributes the Nureva line of interactive AV products and was recently boasting how the SMART line of products was a boon to its separate AV rental business.

Through this new go to market approach, SMART partners and customers will see streamlined access to SMART solutions and experts as well to the tools and support partners need to succeed,” said SMART.

Neil Gaydon, CEO of SMART Technologies, said: “Working with the Westcon team, we’re excited to deliver the best in collaboration solutions, and with this new model we’ll have a closer working relationship than ever before with our key stakeholders.”

Garry Boon, general manager, Westcon Group UC&C, said: “We are delighted to now represent the entire portfolio of SMART collaboration solutions in the UK. SMART is revolutionising the education and enterprise market with software and hardware solutions that are differentiated by its deep understanding of true collaboration.

We have the inventory in place and can support UK partners with SMART opportunities with our broad set of sales and support services.”
