Next week is DataCentres North 2016
Data bods are encouraged to head to Manchester
There’s only five days left until the DataCentres North 2016 exhibition and conference opens on Wednesday. The three day event takes place at Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground and conference centre.
DataCentres North 2016 is targeted at everyone from those involved with smaller server rooms and comms rooms, to staff responsible for operations, IT, networking and facilities management at large co-location, corporate and cloud data centres.
Supported by the Data Centre Alliance, British Computer Society Data Centre SIG, techUK, DATACENTRE.ME, DCN, NCN and other organisations, the DataCentres North 2016 Conference has three main streams: strategy, operations and mission critical infrastructure.
Ed Ansett, group chairman of i3 Solutions Group, will give the keynote presentation in which he will discuss what is likely to drive data centre development in the future.
Hannah Tracey from MIDAS, Manchester’s inward investment agency, will offer insights into how the agency can help organisations relocate to the region. And Dave Carter from the Centre for Urban Policy Studies, University of Manchester, will take a look at the proposed digital strategy for the region.
