Check Point has appointed the former channels head of NetApp as its chief marketing officer. Julie Parrish will oversee strategic initiatives to drive awareness and demand for Check Point’s expanding portfolio of security solutions, said Check Point.
Prior to joining Check Point, Parrish was the CMO at NetApp, where she had also served as senior vice president of worldwide channel sales. She has held numerous senior leadership positions in marketing and channel sales at Fortune 1000 companies, including Symantec, Veritas, Nokia and 3Com (now part of HPE).
“She is a key addition to our executive team, her knowledge and insights will enhance our focus on delivering best-of-breed products, while strengthening Check Point’s brand awareness strategy and accelerating our growth in the security marketplace.”
Parrish said: “Check Point has a more than 20-year track record of innovating in a segment of the IT industry that is not only exciting but crucial to customers. I now have the opportunity to extend Check Point’s lead in the market.”
At the beginning of the year, Check Point unveiled a new global partner programme, the Stars Programme, to reward distributors and resellers. Check Point says the new programme “creates unrivalled sales opportunities for partners”, giving them all the resources they need to “dramatically accelerate” their Check Point sales revenue and “develop even closer business relationships”.
