Capita Employee Benefits has been appointed by the Scottish Public Pensions Agency (SPPA) to deliver its integrated pensions IT software solution.
The scope of the contract is to implement and support an integrated pensions administration, payroll and digital services software solution for the Agency, which administers pension schemes for the National Health Service, teachers, police and firefighters in Scotland.
Paterson added: “Having undertaken a robust procurement process underpinned by a very clear vision of our digital aspirations, I am confident we will be providing value for money to taxpayers whilst realising greater efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
“As a significant employer in the Scottish Borders, this investment in our IT infrastructure should give confidence to both employees and the local economy that SPPA is a progressive and stable employer in the region.”
Susan Ring, chief executive of Capita Employee Benefits, said: “We have a compelling software solution for in-house teams and we are pleased to have been selected following SPPA’s rigorous due diligence. SPPA’s care for their customers is very apparent and it is exciting to be a partner in their ambitious transformational journey.”
This is the latest win north of the border for Capita. Last month, the University of the Highlands and Islands joined the Scottish Wide Area Network (SWAN), a single public services network for the use of all public service organisations within Scotland. SWAN is being delivered through a framework contract with Capita IT Enterprise Services.
