CompTIA helps members get into regulated industries easier
Breaking into regulated industries can be a challenge for businesses and often takes a large amount of research
CompTIA has launched a new initiative designed to help SMEs and MSPs do business with organisations in regulated industries.
Launched at CompTIA’s EMEA Conference, the Regulated Industries Initiative will provide an open forum for members to share their views on how best to enter regulated sectors. Breaking into regulated industries can be a challenge for businesses and often takes a large amount of research to understand how to navigate regulations and compliances, said CompTIA.
To tackle this, CompTIA will provide a one-stop-shop of resources to refer to, “saving hundreds of hours on desk research” and delivering a “truly invaluable pool of information” to members, said the trade organisation.
CompTIA will provide research on each sector, starting with the financial and legal industries, which will provide market analysis, the key regulations and key trends in IT. It will also identify the business opportunities in each area.
“Breaking into regulated industries is one of the key business growth areas for many businesses, but it can be difficult for SMEs and MSPs to navigate due to the sheer number of regulations and compliance points they have to adhere to,” said Estelle Johannes, director, member communities UK at CompTIA.
“In launching this initiative, we have rapidly responded to our members’ feedback and will deliver resources and meetings that can make a huge impact for businesses and empower them to enter entirely new markets.”
