Mitsui Sumitomo insures against threats with Lanware

Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance at Lloyd’s (MSIG) has awarded Lanware a wide ranging IT services contract.

We are setting off on a long term relationship with Lanware, a vendor who understands our needs and the unique security and business requirements of financial services. We are all looking forward to getting the delivery of our new services,” said Richard Williams, CIO of MSIG.

The MSIG contract incorporates a wide range of functions including the service desk, desktops, infrastructure, the network, disaster recovery and cloud services for application development.

MSIG will leverage Lanware’s ISO 27001 information security management system to help combat and protect against the growing number of cyber threats targeting financial institutions.

Lanware said it “specifically focused on ensuring that all security controls were highly visible” giving MSIG “ongoing insight into its security status and enabling a pro-active security posture”.
