EMC appoints new UK and Ireland boss
Ross Fraser joined EMC 16 years ago from Data General. He ran EMC’s Scotland region, then UK’s North region before leaving for EMEA
EMC Computer Systems has announced the appointment of Ross Fraser as the company’s new vice president and country manager for the UK and Ireland.
After a long track record as one of EMC’s senior executives in the EMEA region, said the company, the new appointment is a promotion from his previous role as vice president of global alliances.
Fraser (pictured left) will report to Adrian McDonald, EMC’s president for EMEA, and will be responsible for revenue generation, management and business strategy for EMC in the UK and Ireland.
McDonald said: “As EMC builds upon its focus on innovation in service delivery and product agility the IT market in the UK and Ireland continues opening up for EMC, thereby creating ambitious business goals.
“Having worked with Ross for many years, I know that he will lead EMC’s efforts in the UK and Ireland incredibly effectively, set clear vision for the region, and bring his own unique experience to bear. ”
Fraser joined EMC 16 years ago from Data General. He then went on to run EMC’s Scotland region, and then UK and Ireland’s North region before becoming the VP EMEA of global alliances in 2012.
