Italian firm Solair has launched a search for technical partners who want a cloud-based entry into the Internet of Things (IoT).
‘Ready for Solair’ is the company’s programme for hardware manufacturers and suppliers that want an easy way to connect their products to the internet and open up the possibility of creating ad hoc applications to add a service element to their products using the data collected and business logic.
Solair claimed that joining the Ready for Solair programme would allow manufacturers and hardware suppliers to produce printed circuit boards (PCBs) and offer flexible services for end customers. It said that this is possible due to the implementation of native support for protocols that are currently being used in the IoT world.
Tom Davis, CEO of Solair, said, “Companies that want to transform the promises of the IoT into concrete benefits quickly face several challenges. They must connect the devices to the cloud, integrate existing infrastructure, analyse the immense amount of data generated, build intelligent applications on it to offer a service connected to their products, while still ensuring the safety of the same data.”
The Software as a Service model provided by the Solair technology has been designed to provide scalability, flexibility and intelligence£| to adapt an IoT Application easily to business needs and growth. Solair added that the benefit for partners will be the opening of new markets and business opportunities which could lead to increased revenue.
