Wick Hill Celebrates 38 Years With Value Add Of Record Revenues
Founded in 1976, Wick Hill is anticipating a big year with over $100m in sales
Wick Hill is celebrating its 38th birthday with a record breaking year for both the UK and DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), the company has announced. With its financial year yet to close, founder and chairman Ian Kilpatrick has revealed that the firm has already achieved 30 percent growth, having broken the $100m (£60m) sales barrier earlier this year.
Wick Hill was founded in 1976 and is currently one of the longest-established, independent, IT value added distributors (VADs) in Europe.
Value add
According to Kilpatrick, one of the main reasons for the VAD’s longevity is its “commitment to excellence”, both in the products and the services it provides.
“The emphasis for Wick Hill has always been,” said Kilpatrick, “on the value add in VAD. We provide channel partners with a comprehensive range of services, including technical, sales, marketing and financial support, plus a comprehensive training programme. We work very closely with our channel partners and give them substantial assistance to increase their sales, while maintaining a small, focused portfolio.”
The company’s product portfolio covers security, performance, access, networking, convergence, storage and hosted services.
“What Wick Hill is about,” added Kilpatrick, “is making and growing markets for our suppliers and our channel partners. We have had great joint success at doing that and some of our partners have been with us for more than two decades. We would like to thank them all for their support over the years and in helping us achieve this latest record sales growth on our 38th birthday.”
