Timico has rebranded NewNet, an ISP it bought in 2010, as Timico Partners and redirected it as a channel operation.
The new division will focus all of Timico;s channel expertise on a single point of contact for converged Internet and communications services provision. Timico Partners will target managed service providers, VARs and telecoms resellers.
The former NewNet will maintain its base in Fareham , Hampshire, and will be responsible for supplying partners with a technical helpdesk, specialist engineers and pre-sales support, backed by channel business development managers.
Partners will join Timico’s national 10Gbps MPLS network, carrier-grade VoIP/SIP platform, and Tier 3+ data centre. The new services will be complemented by a dedicated portal for partners.
Darren Hilton, who has led NewNet since the take-over, has moved the business to a wholly indirect model servicing a variety of channel partners. As director of partner services at Timico Partners, he now has responsibility for all partners across the group.
“By launching Timico Partners we are delivering a fresh approach to the channel for resellers who are ambitious, growing and looking to partner closely with a quality IT and telecoms provider,” he said.
“As well as creating bespoke partnership arrangements which reward growth with exclusive incentives and initiatives designed to add real value, we are also passionate about training our partners to be the best in their market. In addition to this we have invested more than £600k in our PartnerEye portal, which makes life easier for our partners by helping them manage their own bespoke ordering, billing and reporting,” Hilton added.
