Netwrix: Britain Is European Bridgehead For US Technology
US vendor aims to repeat its rapid UK growth across Europe
US-based vendor Netwrix has reported 70 percent growth in the UK and will use its British base for a launch into European markets.
The auditing specialist has headhunted Marc Smith to lead its European channel and appointed distributor Lifeboat to recruit reseller partners in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Italy and the Nordic region.
Netwrix expands
Smyth moves from Quest Software, where he was senior account manager for the UK, having previously worked for McAfee as account manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Netwrix wants to apply the lessons learned from its growth in the UK to other European markets, said Aidan Simister, Netwrix’s regional manager for Europe. “We are already seeing demand for our tools in Germany and the Netherlands. The appointments will help us to harness these opportunities and drive growth.”
A recent Forrester Research TechRadar report placed configuration auditing on top of the list of five security technologies predicted to grow over the next three to five years. Smyth is calling on resellers to get into this booming market.
“Our solutions detect security violations, troubleshoot issues, prevent downtime and maintain compliance with PCI and other industry regulations at a fraction of the cost of [legacy] security information and event management systems,” said Smyth.
Dan Jamieson, general manager at Lifeboat Distribution, praised Netwrix’s commitment to the channel. “Great support and robust margins mean resellers can expect to capitalise on the excellent business opportunity, leading to strong markets for Netwrix,” said Jamieson.
Netwrix Auditor collects data from multiple sources and reports before and after values of changes made. Its user activity video recorder tool has been described as “a CCTV system for IT Systems”.
