Cloud management vendor GFI Software has launched a new channel expansion programme to create a “three figure increase” in the number of its reseller partners between now and November.
A spokesman for the vendor said partner numbers cannot be divulged but confirmed that the programme will help current, and prospective, partners understand how GFI Cloud can boost sales, engage with customers and show how cloud apps can solve problems that defeat conventional on-premises software.
The programme will take turns to focus on specific areas. Topics to be covered include patch management, antivirus, network and server monitoring, managing mobile workers, and web content filtering.
GFI Software’s director of channel Scott Hagenus outlined the scheme: “Cloud solutions are an important opportunity for the channel that generates both healthy up-front revenues and recurring business.”
The success that existing partners are having with GFI Cloud has encouraged the company to put more resources into creating a cloud channel, he said.
“It is a clear indicator that the channel community is key to the success of cloud solutions for the wider industry,” said Hagenus. “Cloud doesn’t mean direct sales only.”
The new cloud partner programme will deliver a three-figure increase in cloud resellers, he claimed, by giving all reseller partners the tools, incentives and support to help them drive cloud sales and integrate them with existing product lines.
GFI partners will be supported by a marketing campaign with sponsorship, advertising, and a multimedia onslaught of direct marketing.
