The European arm of Ingram Micro has signed a deal with Nomadesk to provide its cloud storage and file synchronisation offerings to resellers and managed service providers.
The distributor said it had looked at a number of companies offering similar products but chose Belgian-based Nomadesk because of its strengths in data security, extreme user-friendliness, compatibility with all types of devices, and highly flexible deployment. The partnership provides the reseller and managed service provider channel with a white-label, innovative, and high value-added service for business users and companies.
Ingram said that the Nomadesk offering would complement its cloud service portfolio and offer additional choices to the channel, allowing them to meet the needs of end-customers interested in using cloud computing services.
“The Nomadesk solution offers a perfect match for the requirements of our partners and their customers. Our collaboration with Nomadesk allows us to respond to this demand quickly and further deliver on the IM Cloud value proposition in the channel”, Jason Beal, executive director and general manager of Ingram Micro’s Advanced Solutions Division Europe, said.
Filip Tack, chief executive and co-founder of Nomadesk, said his firm did not want to go to the market directly, preferring the channel.
“Nomadesk aims to be a technology partner for its customers,” said Tack. “Our business aim is not to serve the market directly but, rather, to concentrate our efforts on development and innovation of the technologies that our strategic channel partners will deliver to the market.
“Our solution is particularly suited to businesses or providers of high value-added services that wish to offer their customers private or public cloud services. We are particularly proud that Nomadesk was chosen by Ingram Micro, because our collaboration with Ingram Micro is yet another endorsement of our business model,” he added.
