Workshare Product Test Brings Fresh Water To Those In Need

In a novel twist to market research, document collaboration software specialist Workshare is collaborating with Charity:Water to help provide clean drinking water in developing countries.

For every person who participates in interview sessions to test the Workshare platform, the company will donate £150 to the charity.

The company  is looking to interview teams of people who share files and information together to produce a document in a one-on-one observation and interview session, whether or not they have used Workshare’s applications before.

Workshare is committed to supporting the fight to provide fresh water supplies – w ile also advancing its goal to build software that changes the way employees collaborate in today’s enterprise.

If only 50 people sign up by the end of May, Workshare will have donated sufficient funds to build one water project that can support 250 people with clean water that will not only provide an  infection-free supply but also save them 6,000 hours in water collection each week.

According to the World Health Organization, diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Women and children usually bear the burden of water collection, walking miles to the nearest source.

100 percent of Workshare’s donations will go to funding a community in need; this includes constructing the water project and providing local villages with the tools needed to create sustainable access to clean water by way of repair, management, and sanitisation training.

“At Workshare we want to be able to make a difference in the world, so this collaboration is an honour for employees,” said Anthony Foy, chief executive officer at Workshare. “With this initiative, we’re continuing to drive our mission for efficient collaboration – from the technology we develop, to our relationships with product users, to the global community. We are very pleased to contribute to such a noble cause through Charity:Water, and believe our customers will be just as motivated to donate their time to this effort.”

Any teams of volunteers for Workshare’s usability test can register here.
