Veeam Launches Enhanced EMEA Partner Programme
Bid to boost channel presence with improved virtualisation product discounts and training options
Virtualisation vendor Veeam has bolstered its EMEA partner programme with a series of enhancements. Among the improvements are better returns on partner investments and upgraded levels of protection.
Training programme improvements will allow partners to develop their technical and sales skills in virtualisation, and increase their credibility in the eyes of customers, the company said, as well as delivering clearer points of entry for enterprise management services providers.
Best possible services
Veeam claimed the improvements would allow partners to concentrate on providing the best possible service while maximising margins.
Major enhancements to the programme include the introduction of Veeam’s first Specialisation, Enterprise Management Specialist (EMS). EMS specialists were previously placed in their own tier of the ProPartner programme but can now become Veeam ProPartners at silver, gold or platinum level.
There is ans an enhanced deal registration to protect partners’ margin and increase their profitability selling Veeam solutions. This means that partners will see an increased discount for gold and platinum ProPartners and also receive additional margin when selling to a new customer.
“Increasing competition and financial uncertainty mean that the channel is now under pressure to deliver even higher margins on its products and services,” said Veeam Software EMEA channel director Gilles Pommier.
“Virtualisation is a market that has grown despite shrinking budgets resulting from the recession; thanks to the scalability, cost-effectiveness and capability it provides,” Pommier said.
He added that Veeam was 100 percent focused on the channel, meaning the company was determined to see “the greatest possible success for our partners”.
Andy Wright, Director, Vendor Alliances at SCC said that as virtualisation formed a key part of the services his company offered, “anything that helps SCC provide a greater level of service and support, whilst also ensuring the best possible value for our customers is welcome”.
“Not only do we have easy access to tools that can help provide top-level services to our customers; the level of accreditation and expertise we can demonstrate through Veeam University means that potential customers are left in no doubt about our capability,” he said.
