Capgemini has appointed Dr Cliff Evans as Chief Digital Officer in a bid – it says – to help its clients take full advantage of opportunities in the social media and digital space.
Dr Evans has a track record at Capgemini, initiating and delivering large-scale multi-channel digital programmes. He is also claimed to have created Capgemini’s Digital Services Orchestration framework for cloud services, Immediate.
The Dr will take up the newly created position at the company, which he has been with since 2001. Prior to the new appointment he was Transformation Director for the defence and security sector, in which he successfully masterminded innovative change programmes for several clients including the UK Ministry of Defence.
Before joining Capgemini in 2001 he held boardroom positions in multinational companies in the media industry. He also holds a PhD in aeronautical engineering from Bristol University and is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer.
