Dell is expanding its services based on SAP HANA, with preconfigured PowerEdge servers certified by the German database software company.
SAP’s in-memory database software is growing in popularity, and Dell will now assist its customers in making the transition to the use of big data analytics, aiding in design and implementation of HANA systems.
Dell Services will provide managed services support for SAP HANA, configuration of SAP data replication services, as well as assistance in migrating from SAP’s Netweaver Business Warehouse. Rapid deployment services will be made available in Europe for the jump between Netweaver BW and SAP HANA soon.
Application development services will also be made available for SAP HANA, such as data integration and data modelling.
Dell will also be offering pretested ‘solutions’ using its converged storage, server and networking infrastructure to support the use of SAP HANA.
SAP HANA has been growing in popularity, with many of the large vendors incorporating the analytics software platform into their offerings. HANA has helped SAP achieve strong growth in recent quarters, with HANA revenues reaching €83 million in the most recent financial quarter, putting the company on track to realise expectations of €320 million this year.
