Avnet has been awarded the title of “Delivery Outstanding Contribution” supplier award from ZTE.
The distributor won the title at the Chinese telecommunications equipment and systems company’s Supplier Delivery Performance Awards for 1H2012.
ZTE said Avnet EM China stood out from more than 1,000 participating suppliers to become one of only three distributors to win the title.
The company developed the Award for Delivery Outstanding Contribution to commemorate suppliers who offer excellent support for the company’s delivery planning process and critical delivery incidents.
To be in with a chance of winning, companies must show they excel in categories such as technology, quality, delivery, cost, service and corporate social responsibility.
ZTE said it attributed some of its achievements directly to the support and cooperation it received from Avnet, which was the first supplier to develop an e-business platform for the company, contributing to much more efficient process of inventory management and shipment updates.
