Entercoms said that it will open a European Headquarters in Mallow, Co.Cork, creating 30 jobs over a three year period.
The US based company, which provides aftermarket supply chain services, will allocate jobs to skilled Industrial Engineers, Operations Research Scientists, and Business Intelligence Experts with Programme Management, Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning and Business Analytics capabilities.
Making the announcement, Minister for Research and Innovation Sean Sherlock TD called the move “very significant.” He said the jobs would provide a “much needed boost” to the local economy and was the “first time in many years” that the county had been able to attract high end jobs and a European Headquarters to the town.
“The decision by Entercoms to establish their European base in Mallow is welcome news which reflects the aims of the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs in attracting companies who are looking to the future,” he added.
Today’s announcement comes in conjunction with Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD and Mr. Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland FDI mission to the West Coast of the United States.
