VIP Computers boasted that the popularity of one of its events proved that PC gaming is still a talking point. The comments come after the distributor held its Evolution gaming event on Friday, which it claimed drew in over 400 UK based resellers.
The event was designed to show what the company could offer both resellers and vendors- and the distie says it was so successful that “received 100 percent” vendor endorsement to do so again next year. Evolution 2 is penned in for Friday 6th September 2013.
There were Microsoft breakout sessions, which included Windows 8 and Server 2012 previews, as well as exclusive previews of the new ASUS Taichi notebook-tablet.
Dave Stevinson, VIP sales director said the event showed that exhibitions such as this were a good way to build channel relationships.
He added that both vendors and resellers in this industry were happy to network and share tips and advice on how to make the most of this sector.
The company will now also work towards making sure opportunities in this sector were “optimised”.
