Dell OEM Solutions gets Unified Communications helping hand

Dell OEM Solutions is being given a helping hand by Dutch company StartReady to enhance its Unified Communication products based on Microsoft Lync technology.

StartReady is working with the technology company, offering a number of ready-to-go-products, which are claimed to help customers achieve a quick and easy way to move to a voice-over-IP (VoIP) infrastructure.

The company, wishing to expand on its customer profile, said it is happy to embark on the venture with Dell’s PowerEdge R610, which it said delivered a fast and simple path to a custom-branded solution for StartReady that ships straight to the customer.

It added that with the help of Dell OEM Solutions team, StartReady can meet the expectations of their customers outside the EU as well. Customers are also said to receive Dell ProSupport with Mission Critical for four-hour-on-site serve and phone based troubleshooting 24/7 to help maximise uptime. In addition, StartReady, the company boasts, avoids the expense of handling requests and travelling for on-site assistance.

Lucas Wensing, Chief Executive Officer at StartReady, said: “When we wanted to grow internationally with the same high level of service to our customers we were looking for a global OEM partner that could meet those requirements and more.

“By reducing our delivery time by 50 percent we are freeing up resources to focus on what we are best at, building unified communications solutions.”

Sam Forsbom, General Manager Dell OEM Solutions EMEA, said: “Dell OEM is continually increasing its capabilities in the Telecommunications sector and our Dell-designed carrier-grade NEBS Level 3 and ETSI-compliant servers were based on direct feedback from telco customers.

“StartReady is an example where our capabilities in delivery of global OEM products, services and global scale deliver true benefits to our customers.”
