Mimecast boosts business in legal sector
Signs up 50 new legal customers to email services
Mimecast has increased its presence in the legal sector, signing up 50 new customers to its email management services in the past six months.
Legal firms such as SJ Berwin, Kinglsey Napley and Russell Cooke are some of the customers that Mimecast is now supplying to, offering email archiving, security and continuity for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
The increase in business for Mimecast means that the firm is now supplying to 70 out of the top 100 legal firms in the UK. The firm has also increased its presence in UK judge’s chambers, with an additional 25 customers over the past six months, as well as business with the Bar Council of England and Wales.
The legal sector was one of the first sectors to adopt Mimecast email services back in 2003, due to law firms’ reliance on email, and has expanded its offerings with mobile email access.
“Lawyers need access to emails from mobile devices wherever they are, 24 hours a day,” said Eliza Hedegaard, Account Director Legal at Mimecast. “Mimecast is one of only a few providers to be able to offer full email archive access from Windows Phone, iOS, Android or BlackBerry devices, making us a vendor of choice for law firms.”
She continued: “Innovation has always been crucial to our business and we’ll be continuing to develop new services and technologies that will help our legal customers provide the most efficient service possible, whilst maintaining their competitive edge.”
“2012 will be a milestone year for Mimecast innovation – we’re readying the most exciting product roadmap in our history.”
