Telindus bags Cisco Gold Partner status a year ahead of schedule

Network infrastructure provider Telindus has been swotting up on its Cisco specialisations, meeting the standards for Gold tier certification a year ahead of schedule.

The Architecture Specialisations are a new requirement for continued status as a Cisco Gold Certified Partner, ensuring that partners are equipped to deal with changes to customer demands, capitalising on trends such as BYOD, mobility and cloud computing.

In order to meet the standards as part of Cisco’s reseller programme, Surrey service provider Telindus had to exhibit expertise in Advanced Borderless Networks Architecture, Advanced Collaboration Architecture and Advanced Data Centre Architecture.  This was done ahead of the July 2013 deadline.

Marek Lowther, managing director of Telindus, said that by ensuring its place in the Gold tier of Cisco’s partner programme it will be keep its nose in front of competitors.

“This places us at the forefront of the latest technology developments in key areas that enrich our solutions and support our customer’s business transformation agendas, including BYOD, mobility, cloud computing and productivity,” Lowther said.

He added: “It is a recognition of the high level of expertise throughout Telindus’ organisation in the latest Cisco technologies, with members of our account management, consultancy, solution design, system engineering and field engineering teams all acquiring accreditation.”

Richard McLeod, senior director of collaboration architecture for the worldwide partner group at Cisco, said that by completing its Advanced Architectures Specialisations, Telindus would gain access to “comprehensive sales and technical training” alongside support from the vendor.
