UK distie Target Components celebrates record £20 million sales
Party time for staff sharing in profits
Yorkshire distie TargetComponents has broken its sales record, topping £20 million for the first time.
Sales were up 4.4 percent for the best year on record, netting the firm a pre tax profit of £706,472. This meant topping last year’s figure by 0.9 percent, the fifth time in a row that Target Components has broken its profit performance record.
It is not just top brass that will be benefitting from the sales record, with the profit announced after a deduction of 10 percent to share out to all staff.
Managing director Paul Cubbage said that the success was in part due to greater investment in customer support.
“We’re delighted to announce another record year in the current climate,” Cubbage said. “We’ve invested heavily this year to increase the level of help and support that we provide our customers, particularly free business advice via Target Business Advisory Services and Shoptalk.”
“We’ve also invested significantly in increasing our headcount, so to see profit increase is particularly pleasing, and is once again a testament to the resilience and loyalty of our customers”.
