Micro-P has partnered with security firmware specialist Absolute to offer a laptop tracking service to its resellers.
Distributor Micro-P will now be able to offer the LoJack for Laptops service created by Absolute, and backed by the firm’s investigative team of former police and law enforcement professional.
The team will manage the recovery investigation and work with local law enforcement to locate any laptops which have gone missing.
Micro-P will now be making the service available through its established base of 8,000 resellers.
LoJack for Laptops is currently available at retailers such as PC World and Amazon, priced at from £39.95 for one year and £79.95 for three years.
Phil Brown, Commercial Director at Micro P, said that the latest offering shows how the firm is branching out into newer areas, such as software.
“Micro-P is constantly looking to evolve and enhance our vendor portfolio and we were excited by the LoJack for Laptops proposition,” Brown said.
“Software is an area we are looking to grow over the coming months and we can see a host of opportunities in SMB, Retail and Education whilst strengthening our attach message for the sales teams.”
