Ingram Micro has signed an agreement with Synology to distribute its range of Network Attached Storage (NAS) server products in the UK.
Synology claims to provide a range of NAS products, including smaller cost-effective solutions for the home to larger rackmounts, scalable up to 100TB, for business and enterprise use.
The latter includes Synology’s DiskStation Manager software 4.0, which is claimed to let users take full advantage of their NAS with backup, file sharing, VMWare and iSCSI.
Mike Farrah, commercial director of Ingram Micro, said: “With the increase in storage consumption and the requirement for large volumes of data to be available quickly and easily, Synology delivers a suite of products that address this need head-on.
“From home and small office to large scale business, Synology has a consistent offering that represents a new sales opportunity to our reseller partners, from retail through to corporate, but especially in the mid-market”
Mike Chen, the managing director of Synology UK Ltd, also praised the company’s new partner claiming: “Ingram Micro rises above others with quality service and channel strength. Leveraging their expertise in storage solutions with wide market reach, we are ready to fulfil the fast growing demands of storage in the UK.” .
