HP releases Z1 all-in-one workstation to resellers and retailers
Londoners get chauffeur driven look at Envy Spectre Ultrabook
HP has announced the shipping of its all-in-one HP Z1 workstation, which will be available through its resellers and retailers worldwide.
Built primarily for computer aided design and digital media professionals, the 27 inch all-in-one workstation is easily upgraded with workstation class processors and graphics cards HP says. The workstation will start shipping at $1,899.
Upgrading of its memory or hard drive can be done without any tools once the lid snaps open, which should make life easier for IT managers HP partners reckon.
Channel partners are already impressed with the workstation, particularly the ability to upgrade easily. Scott DeTota, senior director of product and partner management at one of HP’s channel partners CDW said that the HP Z1 “would make a great addition to any workplace environment” with its “unique serviceability” helping IT staff. TechEye had a pre launch look at the all-in-one powerhouse in more detail recently.
HP has also been gearing up for its Envy 14 Spectre Ultrabook launch too. The firm will be going direct to its customers with a “fleet of 10 HP branded Mercedes”, picking up pedestrians wanting to have a look at the glass Ultrabook.
Those in London over the next couple of weeks who don’t want to overuse their Oyster card, or be subjected to rush hour Underground journeys, can jump in one of the chauffeured people carriers and be shuttled between zones 1 and 2 for free, at locations around Oxford Circus.
