Computer 2000 Completes Office Move
Computer 2000, the UK arm of distribution giant Tech Data, said it completed its move to a new headquarters over the weekend and has reopened for business at its new, more roomy site a mile from its former location at the Intec site in Wade Road, Basingstoke.
The new 48,000 square-foot office, in Chineham Park, features a better working environment, better facilities for staff and partners and more space for growth, the company said.
Presentation and training
The facility brings in more meeting and conference rooms plus new demonstration, presentation and training facilities.
“Our future strategy is built around sustainable growth and we needed better-quality offices to support those plans,” stated Peter Hubbard, Computer 2000 managing director for the UK and Ireland. “We wanted to stay within Basingstoke to make any move very easier for our staff. We also wanted somewhere that would be a great place for us to take our customers and partners and Chineham Park fits the bill in every respect.”
Last month Computer 2000 said it had appointed Cathi Low to direct a new drive into the education, healthcare and government sectors. Low re-joined the company after five years at rival Ingram Micro UK, where she served most recently as director of value business. Previously Low spent 12 years at Computer 2000 and Tech Data Europe in various senior positions.
