Softcat prowling for new recruits
But finding the right staff may not be straight forward
Softcat has announced that it has plans to recruit around 40 technical based staff over the next 12 months following a profitable year.
The IT reseller is looking for experienced technical professionals and consultancy services to support its on-going growth and development following an annual turnover of £300 million.
It is looking for experts in storage and virtualisation, networking, security, and Microsoft technologies.
However, it may not be as easy as it seems. Back in August the company’s solutions director Sam Routledge told ChannelBiz that Softcat, amongst others in the industry had struggled to find technical staff. At the time he said the main challenge for the company was attracting the right staff in order to further grow the business as a result of a lack of experienced technical staff.
Now, the company has said some of the new recruits will work in its operations centre, which it has created to meet growing demand for its high-quality managed services.
It’s looking for “fun, happy people who will work hard within their teams,” and those who want to work with cutting-edge technologies to deliver business-critical customer services.
