Softcat grows turnover by another £100 million
Plans to boost headcount
Software licensing and IT services company Softcat has managed to turn over £300 million as it nears the end of its financial year.
Softcat deals predominantly in the UK corporate sector under a wide umbrella – providing products, services, consultancy, support and project management – but has expanded into large enterprise, small business and public sector organisations, it says, and has a trading relationship with over 2,000 customers.
The £300 million mark demonstrates considerable growth for the provider, having walked past the £200 million barrier just one year ago. On the back of its financial success, Softcat has been on a recruiting drive. Over the last two years it claims to have boosted the headcount by double and plans to hit 500 over the next couple of months.
Softcat plans to hire over 200 more employees over the following year and, the company says, is openly inviting talent to give it a ring.
Patting itself on the back some more, it boasted that the company also appeared on the UK and Europe’s best workplaces lists, put together by Great Place to Work.
